Happy happy Thursday my sweet friends! Today is one of my favorite days of the month, the Thrift Store Decor Upcycle Challenge. Thrifting is my jam, you know, and I quiver with excitement as the weather warms up and we get closer to flea market and yard sale season. I have an insanely cheap and easy upcycled basket wreath project to share for this month’s challenge, and I can’t wait to see what my friends have done with their finds.

Ok, so let’s talk thrifted baskets. Last weekend I played my favorite game: ring around the Goodwill. You know the one; donate at the back then “ring around” to the front and buy something fab. The engineer LOVES this game. ;)
So I bought this sweet little basket for 99 cents, and I completely forgot to take a before pic. Just picture a cute flat basket orange-ish stained basket perfect for hanging on the wall. Got it? Good.
I snagged a can of matte spray paint in Robin’s Egg blue and quickly covered that orange hue.
Isn’t she cute? A faux peony is the perfect touch for spring.
I thought a couple of succulents would be fun tool
This pretty basket would make an adorable spring centerpiece for a small table too.
I think this is the easiest thrift store upcycle ever, but it’s one of my favorites.

Kimm this is super cute and really easy. I love an easy, fast project that ends up looking great. Baskets are always a good find at the Goodwill!
Great spring wreath. Love that metal tray as well. I need to spend more time at the thrift store! Visiting from Thrift Store Upcycle.
This basket wreath is so pretty!! That is my favorite color and it looks perfect on the baskets. Great project!

Thanks Sue! I am glad to hear I’m not the only one who plays that “game”! ;) Enjoy your Sunday!
Easy but beautiful upcycle! The color is beautiful and both the nest and the succulents look great.

Thank you Pili! I think I will be using that color again, it is so soft and pretty!
I never thought to use a basket as a wreath. Great idea and will be looking at basket with a new eye.
Thank you Erlene! I think this one struck me as having wreath potential because of the generous “lip”, it’s easy to add flowers or plants. Happy Sunday!
I have that same tray! I love your little basket, especially with the nest tucked inside..

You can never have enough baskets and they are so easy to transform. The color you chose is perfect! And I love that tray you have behind the basket–so cool!

Kimm, what a creative take on a wreath, I love the layered one but the single basket by itself is lovely too. I’d love either displayed in my home!
